Highlighting rooted faith and spiritual growth drawn from Isaiah 44:4-5.

The International Churches of Christ (ICOC) Philippines launched its 2026 theme, “Thrive,” inspired by Isaiah 44:4-5 GNT, calling disciples to deepen their faith, strengthen their identity in God, and grow like “well-watered grass… by streams of running water,” as the Scripture describes.

The passage frames the new year as a season of spiritual flourishing, one where disciples anchor themselves in God’s presence and live out lives that reflect renewal, belonging, and devotion.

Last year’s theme, “Reach,” drawn from 2 Corinthians 4:15, challenged members to extend God’s grace outward through mission, compassion, and connection. “Thrive” is a natural next step in that journey, shifting from outward expansion in 2025 to inward growth, maturity, and rooted faith in 2026.

The new logo, which received the most votes from ICOC Philippines staff, was designed by Rheynold Amancio of ICOC Manila. His design centers a vibrant green element within the wordmark, symbolizing growth, life, and renewal.

“Embracing vibrant green to reflect renewal, this plant mirrors our own spiritual growth,” the design notes read. “As disciples, we grow by planting seeds of Christ’s love in the lives we touch. When we open our hearts to His transforming grace, the Holy Spirit nurtures us, helping our faith bloom into fruitful, lasting lives rooted in God’s eternal kingdom.”

Amancio said he built the visual identity around the idea of thriving — to grow and flourish. The cross in the design signifies the Lord, while the “V” shape forms both blades of grass and a worshiping figure lifting its arms in praise. A sweeping line beneath the wordmark moves upward, suggesting momentum and also creating the image of a river flowing from the cross.

That river, he explained, represents the life that flows from God, the source that sustains believers and empowers them to thrive.

The new theme resonates after a year centered on outreach. Where “Reach” mobilized the church to share Christ’s love more widely, “Thrive” calls them to cultivate depth — in character, community, and devotion.

The theme shift is a journey of continuity rather than change: from reaching others in 2025, to becoming a people who are rooted, renewed, and thriving in 2026 — like well-watered lives anchored by God’s enduring promise.
