Servecation Serve + Vacation

SERVECATION is a project organized by the Philippine Family of Churches and the Metro Manila Christian Church for disciples and families abroad who would like to have an extraordinary experience that is both life-changing and impactful. Unlike vacations families or individuals spend every year, this event will give them an experiential learning, a lasting impact and a deep gratitude that only service to others can bring, especially to two of the worst disaster-stricken places in the Philippines, Northern Cebu and Tacloban.

Today, both places are still under recovery and rehabilitation after Typhoon Haiyan almost wiped them out. Aside from the massive death toll, more than half a million people have been rendered homeless. It is estimated that complete recovery from the tragedy will take several more years.

After serving for three days through HOPE Worldwide’s various programs, Servecation participants will choose their next destination, now for leisure and recreation, among the most beautiful beaches and vacation spots in the Philippines. Truly, it's more fun in the Philippines!

It is in serving others that we become more Christ-like.
